TTS Client Experience Strategic Execution Manager – SVP (Hybrid)

Position

The Client Experience Strategic Execution Manager role will oversee the successful execution of multiple programs positively impacting our client’s experience. This important role will drive the team to operate on an agreed governance structure. The Program Manager will ensure the delivery of strategic programs at agreed timelines that are driven by business goals.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate across all levels of the organization. It will support a wide range of sponsors and stakeholders for the purposes of providing status updates and ensuring that all programs are meeting key milestones and success criteria. The individual will be working within a large matrixed team across Product Management, Operations and Technology and will work hand-in-hand with regional partners to ensure continuous alignment to our overall global TTS Strategy.

Additionally, will drive projects from initiation to close, making sure the projects are completed efficiently and deliver the stated business goals. Key responsibilities include planning and tracking deliverables, managing the budget, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring that project issues are resolved, and dependencies are managed.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage the program governance, aligned with the global model, and agreed by all stakeholders.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure scope is clear and deliverables and timelines are well defined and agreed by all. Ensure changes in scope are documented and approved as per the agreed governance model.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed end to end project plan, defining the execution tasks, timelines, and dependencies, of the project.
  • Define clear roles and responsibilities across the program to ensure that all tasks within the project have clear accountability.
  • Monitor project progress and set deadlines. Maintain the project cadence. Create an accurate timeline of project execution, ensure dependencies are understood and resolved, and tasks are completed as agreed.
  • Prepare senior management reporting and discussion materials to provide transparency and drive timely decision making.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues. Anticipate delays and solve issues that arise. Ensure optimal communication within the team and outside the team. Escalate as needed.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Manage the budget. Ensure constant tracking of project expenses. Ensure cost efficiency. Reduce wastage.
  • Evaluate Project Performance. Maintain lessons learned communication so the team learns from mistakes.
  • Responsible for the management of significant projects with a large amount of dependencies.
  • Identifies stakeholders and key organizations and build and manage relationships.
  • Leads the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition.
  • Meets business objectives and work with project sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives and creates/maintains KPIs and KRIs associated to business goals.
  • Drives adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project delivery and leverage across the project.
  • Assists project team in negotiating for resources owned by other departments in order ensure the project can be completed.

Skills Required

  • Financial Services Markets or Banking background
  • Payments experience preferable.
  • Solid proven experience in Portfolio or Program Management
  • PMI PMP qualified and/or equivalent with proven experience across Agile and Waterfall environments
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to a fast-moving change environment.
  • Strong communicator, written and oral across all levels of the organization, with ability to deliver succinct messages to senior sponsors across the firm.
  • Resilient and results oriented, with the ability to influence positive outcomes and deliver best class governance and controls.
  • Team player able to bring together wide range of individuals in pursuit of execution and progress.
  • Creativity. Adaptability, Drive and decisiveness to ensure decisions are reached quickly, minimizing debate.
  • Ability to clearly define roles and responsibilities delegating to the appropriate team members.
  • Forward planning, and problem avoidance and solving skills.
  • Leadership to drive execution while able to minimize tension and ensure the team operates efficiently.
  • Budget Management experience.

Experience, Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, masters a plus.
  • 8+ years in Project Management positions, whether in IT or in technical business areas, preferably in Payments/Receivables roles
  • Familiarity with payment processes: wires, ACH, Instant Payments, cross border payments in multiple countries.
  • Ability to operate at different levels: to analyze issues, synthesize them. Develop themes. Understand risks, translate lessons learned into actions.
  • Excellent communications skills to seniors, to clients.
  • Project Management certification a plus
