We are currently seeking a UAT Tester to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee (US-TN), United States (US).

This person will support the Client’s User Acceptance Testing, ensuring the system meets the business requirements. The person will attend appropriate meetings and review appropriate requirement and design documents to gain understanding of the business requirements. This person will leverage subject matter expertise in the review of the project artifact reviews to provide suggestions where appropriate. In addition, this person will be expected to work collaborative in the defect resolution process and other project processes collaboratively with NTT DATA, client and other client Partners.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • The Tester will conduct all testing and evaluation of project initiatives and identify issues in software or services.
  • The Tester will analyze discrepancies in service or performance and make recommendations for product or service updates.
  • As necessary, the Tester will help with UAT testing to plan and organize UAT, coordinate and monitor testing, monitor defects, create defect reports, work with vendors and the state to resolve the defects/bugs.
  • The Tester will ensure software testing is done on-time and as planned and notify management about bottlenecks and other issues and risks.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience on one or more Eligibility, Medicaid, or Health and Human Services (HHS) IT projects
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience involved in mid-scale or large-scale system development projects
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in creating and running detail test scripts which meet business requirements (Including using test automation, test strategy, developing and executing test scripts and test plans)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to develop effective, positive working relationships with both internal and external contacts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products, e.g., Word, Excel, and online applications.
  • Defect/bug management and familiarity with defect management tools (HP ALM, Bugzilla, JIRA JAMA etc.)
  • Familiarity with requirements traceability matrix
  • Creating testing requirements from design documents, functional requirements etc.
  • Testing phases, testing entrance and exit criteria
  • Testing data creation and maintenance
  • Familiarity with development tools and development languages
  • Knowledge of the MMIS Member/Provider Services Modules

For Colorado Candidates
In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rules, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. For a candidate in the state of Colorado only, the starting pay range for this role is $66,000 to 72,000. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including actual work location, relevant experience (internal or external), technical skills, and other qualifications.
