This role significantly contributes to the seamless operation of our business by designing, developing, and collaboratively implementing all unified communications technologies used by the enterprise. The team’s focus extends to anticipating and meeting the future communication technology needs of all business units.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Join our Communications Engineering Team as a Unified Communications Systems Engineer, where you’ll drive the design and implementation of critical unified communications technology. Your focus will encompass all areas of our business, particularly enhancing the technologies used by our Contact Centers.
Your expertise in Cloud Telephony solutions such as Amazon Connect and Microsoft Teams, as well as on-premise technologies like Avaya, Verint, and AudioCodes will be crucial. In this role, you’ll work on varied projects, creating technical documentation, designing systems and implementing in a collaborative manner, troubleshooting system issues and providing solutions.
Your soft skills will play a vital role as you’ll interact with various departments, notably our Contact Center Management team.
TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
- The primary responsibility is to oversee the integration and management of Amazon Connect and Salesforce Service Cloud Voice. This includes developing and implementing scalable and efficient routing strategies, managing integrations, and delivering continuous improvements in line with the business’s evolving needs.
- Unified Communications engineering with a focus on Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Exchange. This includes managing, maintaining, and improving these systems to provide seamless communication solutions throughout the company.
- Administration and enhancement of the Verint system to ensure efficient customer interactions and data management.
- Avaya systems management, providing support for our on-premise technologies and ensuring smooth operation of the telephony systems.
- Oversee the performance and maintenance of AudioCodes systems, working to resolve any issues and implement improvements.
- Design, management, and maintenance of conference room technologies to ensure optimal video and audio performance during meetings.
REQUIRED
- 5+ years required demonstrated equivalent experience in enterprise unified communications engineering, design, and release management. Comparable experience may be considered in place of certain educational preferences.
- Experience required with Amazon Connect and Salesforce Service Cloud Voice, including design, deployment, and optimization.
- Experience required with the administration and maintenance of Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Exchange, Verint, Avaya systems, and AudioCodes systems.
- Experience preferred with network design and implementation, network troubleshooting, and network hardware configuration related to VoIP and video conferencing systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on unified communication technologies and solutions.
- Knowledge of security and configuration best practices for unified communications platforms and systems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of an Agile delivery team.
- Must be well organized and detail oriented.
PREFERRED
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equal time and experience in field.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate or Similar Certification
- Administering and Configuring Amazon Connect (ACAC) or Similar Certification
This is a full time opportunity.
Pay Rate: $50.00-65.00/hr
