This role will be focused on key customers within the US Space Force, to include Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO), Air Force Research Lab Space Vehicle Directorate (AFRL/RV) and Space Systems Command (SSC).
The ideal customer will have knowledge of space and satellite systems, ground systems, USSF organizational structures and acquisition processes.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and must currently possess an active Secret security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance and satisfy other security related requirements.
Key job responsibilities
This role will help manage a growing set of business with key customers and look for expanded and additional ways for AWS to support both current and future missions with Cloud Services, Ground Station, security and hybrid architectures. This will include working with current customers to ensure their needs are being met, working with AWS service teams to help inform key roadmap items, meeting with new customers to find new opportunities and pipeline to pursue, and working with other internal USSF stakeholders to develop AWS based architectures that meet customer and mission needs. This role will be expected to attend conferences to meet with key customer to build pipeline, as well as meeting with Defense prime contractors to help them understand the value AWS brings to ground architectures.
A day in the life
This role will be on the phone a lot – calling both current and potential customers. They will coordinate meetings for Solution Architect team members to learn about USSF customer missions and architecture needs. They will help plan and attend conferences with relevant USSF team content.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelors degree
– 5+ years in the Space industry with preference to Government space industry, a person with military experience or experience working with the military in a direct way.
– Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Secret or above
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Business Development or Sales Experience
– Strong understanding of US Space Force and programs
– Strong understanding of requirements and acquisition process

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $73,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives.
