US Warehouse Analyst

The warehouse analyst will execute our inventory adjustment process and support the US Warehouse operations team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced cross-functional team environment and demonstrate excellent communication skills. This role is vital in driving analytics to discover new ways of optimizing our inventory management processes, contributing to cost savings and operational efficiency initiatives and delivering direct impact on company bottom line.

The warehouse analyst will be conducting in-depth analysis of data, presenting clear and concise findings to support decision-making, and drive actionable outcomes. The person in this role will be instrumental in managing the day-to-day operational process for assigned warehouses to deliver flawless customer experience, data and systems records integrity to support excellence in inventory control. The warehouse analyst will be coordinating Wall to Wall Physical inventories in collaboration with Finance, 3PLs and US Local Warehousing team. This role will be responsible for the management of the write off process for finished goods (scraps and salvage). The person in this role will engage in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) on various projects to drive end-to-end efficiencies and productivity, broadening professional networks and enhancing leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Dive into the variety of the data sources (e.g. SAP, WMS, BI, Sigma) to uncover insights that will enhance our inventory management processes to drive cost savings and operational efficiency initiatives at the end. Look for the patterns and connections in different data sets working with cross-functional partners
  • Leverage latest collaboration tools and technologies (e.g. DOMO, Google data studio) to drive next level of analytics, data visualization and facilitate information sharing
  • Play an active role to drive key projects and initiatives in partnership with internal cross-functional team (Finance, Logistics, Demand and Supply planning, Manufacturing) and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to optimize inventory accuracy, synergy in operational process execution between multiple locations and driving operational efficiencies
  • Oversee and maintain accurate inventory records, including receiving and shipping processes. Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and root cause analysis of discrepancies.
  • Implement best practices to minimize inventory shrinkage and obsolescence, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to proactively address inventory-related issues
  • Regularly review with 3PL performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor warehouse operations’ efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. Analyze data and generate reports to identify trends, areas of improvement, and potential risks. Present findings and recommendations to management, enabling data-driven decision-making and fostering continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Own the inventory adjustments integrity, segmentation and synchronization in both SAP and 3PL systems related to daily operation: quantity differences, transfer posting materials, Cycle counts, Billed Not Shipped, W2W, etc
  • Execute Wall to Wall Physical Inventories by providing a cut-over plan to inform all the stakeholders / develop reports and documentation before and after the inventories / Post adjustments after physical count / delivering final results to the finance, warehouse and logistics teams.
  • Manage the write off process for finished goods (scraps and salvage) from order creation in SAP to tracking until destruction
  • Create reports and dashboards for internal teams that drives to identify warehouse opportunities areas related to the main warehousing KPIs (overtime, warehouse capacity, damages and productivity)
  • Embrace a culture that values data and insights and continuously look for innovations in data analytics that reveals new opportunities to streamline operational process and address inefficiencies
  • Provide evidence requested during SOX/PWC control audits to ensure the proper functionality of the governance processes
  • Coordinate Trace/Mock recalls within the US warehouses

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 Year experience in related fields
  • Strong data analytical skills – ability to research, identify requirements, gather, clean, analyze, and interpret data, and present findings insightfully
  • Technical Skills: (ie; SAP, G- Suite, Domo, Advanced Excel, Power BI, etc)

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Prior internship or co-op experience; manufacturing experience; student organization and/or other leadership experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Proven analytical problem solving, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative, propose innovative ideas, and drive them to execution

Salary Range $70,400 – $103,950 USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive
offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
