Job Description
Rogers Group is seeking candidates to fill a position as a Utility Equipment Operator / Laborer for the periodicals grading crew, based out of Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience operating articulated and/or rigid frame haul trucks and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
Operate Mini-X, Track Hoe, Skid Steer, Rollers and/or other equipment/labor as needed to remove overburden, prep ground for grading and stripping material for grading.
Perform Labor duties as needed to complete contract requirements.
Utility Operator to move, prepare and distribute materials needed for mass grading.
Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
Effective communication skills applicable to position.
Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
Wages starting at $20.00/hr. for entry level candidates. Some positions require no experience and Rogers Group will train. Higher pay for skilled operators of heavy equipment with mass grading experience. Overtime is available and extensive medical and retirement benefits.
QUALIFICATIONS
Dedication to safe work practices.
Previous experience operating tractors, farm equipment, and dirt rollers preferred.
Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the job site as needed/directed.
Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
Pass pre-employment drug screen.
Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
