Hennepin Health is seeking a Vendor Relationship Manager to perform work in an administrative professional position. This position involves the coordination of a large departmental budget and general administrative and professional supervisory tasks related to the management of departmental operations.
Location and hours:
This position is located at the Minneapolis Grain Exchange Building at 400 South Fourth Street, Minneapolis, MN 55415. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, any time between the hours of 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.

In this position, you will:
- Serve as a primary resource/account manager for various Hennepin Health Plan subcontractors with primary focus on Medicaid operations.
- Manage projects and develop project work plans, policies and procedures.
- Conduct meetings and respond to and resolve organizational and interdepartmental issues.
- Provide direct and indirect supervision of professional and support staff.
- Analyze and prepare detailed reports.
- Solicit vendor proposals and assist in proposal and contract preparation and monitor revenue and expenditures.
Need to have:
- One of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in public administration, business administration, public affairs, industrial relations, or other field appropriate to the position and five years or more of vendor management experience.
- Nine years or more years of vendor management experience.
Nice to have:
- Five or more years of claims payment experience.
- Project Management Certification.
- Experience working in a Minnesota Medicaid Managed Care organization.
- Experience with FACETS software preferred.
- Knowledge of budget analysis and preparation and administration of grant funds.
- Skill in using Microsoft Office applications and computer systems.
- Ability to:
- Define and evaluate unit goals and objectives.
- Chair committees and task forces.
- Prepare reports and vendor proposals.
- Interpret policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Supervise professional and support staff; coordinate staffing and personnel functions.
- Investigate and resolve complaints.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the organization.
