We are a growing three-veterinarian practice located in the iconic Natty Boh Tower, right in the heart of Baltimore’s beautiful Brewers Hill neighborhood. Highly Competitive Hourly Rate
$16 to $20 per hour

Who We’re Looking For
The ideal Customer Service Representative for our practice is a friendly, compassionate individual who is passionate about improving the lives of animals and their people. They have a natural ability to connect with people and pets and are enthusiastically committed to creating a positive experience for every client who calls our office or walks through our doors.
The ideal candidate is proficient in basic computer skills and has the ability to learn new software quickly. They must be able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while working cooperatively as part of a respectful, hardworking team.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly welcome!
- Identify potential emergencies in person and over the phone, and schedule those appointments appropriately.
- Coordinate the flow of pets and owners in the lobby; placates owners distressed by long waits, scheduling glitches, and other problems.
- Organize and process all payment plans, billing statements, and collections.
- Perform cashiering duties; process refunds, returns and credits as needed.
- Respond to inquiries about the range of services the practice provides.
- Input data to practice management software to check pets in; make simple postings to accounts; compile data for various reports.
- Monitor clinic email account, responding to questions when possible or forwarding emails to the appropriate team member.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments; provide clients with appointment reminders and any special instructions; call clients whose pets have overdue treatments.
- Use Windows-based computer systems, patient information systems, word processing, email, and web search.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education, and/or experience.
- Knowledge of clerical procedures such as alphabetizing files and records.
- Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation and/or extended periods of time standing and/or walking.
- Some moderately physically demanding work, involving lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
