Vice President Marketing and Communications
Overview
Our privately held consulting and operations outsourcing business is seeking a Vice President, Marketing and Communications to oversee the corporate brand, reputation, public relations, government relations, communications, and marketing support to internal business lines. PCG operates four distinct Practice Areas, 1) Education, 2) Health, 3) Human Services, and 4) Technology Consulting, to support our customers. The Vice President of Marketing and Communications would support all 4 Practice Areas and their disparate approaches to their unique markets.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with state and local government agencies responsible for delivering health care, social welfare, child protection, job counseling and training, and K-12 education and special education services. The firm has an annual revenue of $500mm+ with operations mostly in the US, and international offices in Canada, and Poland.
We are seeking a seasoned and successful Vice President of Marketing and Communications who has experience as a marketing leader within Consulting, Professional Services, or related industry. This individual will have experience developing and leading a strategic marketing and communications function and should have reported to the CEO or Senior Level executive.
- Experience in public and government relations, support conference planning and logistics, Lobbyist sourcing, Creative Direction, Disability Accessibility and Compliance for print and digital media.
- Sound knowledge of and experience in Marketing and Communication practices and procedures
- Strong familiarity with brand awareness, leading and supporting social media efforts, handling of crisis communications.
- Should possess strong problem-solving abilities, leadership skills and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional communication and writing skills. Be able to communicate with all levels.
- Experience in budget planning, forecasting, and developing marketing plans.
- Develop and maintain business relationships.
- The ideal candidate will oversee all branding, marketing, communications, media relations, crisis communications, social media, direct and content marketing, and brand initiatives.
- This individual will focus on driving bottom-line results, increasing customer engagement and loyalty, and enhancing brand awareness.
- This person should be fully versed in digital marketing tools and have solid experience with digital marketing channels, including email, social media platforms, social media advertising, blogs and AI.
- This role encompasses management and hands-on operation, leading the team and assuming the accountability of the entire marketing department. The leader is responsible for managing all internal and external marketing functions.
- Be able to influence externally and internally to create opportunities for the firm.
The individual must have experience in presenting effectively to the Board of Directors, Shareholders and Senior Leadership. The individual to be recruited will display a passion for staying current and have a deep understanding of market trends, be customer-focused and able to drive innovative and effective marketing initiatives. The individual should have a blend of creativity, analytical and strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing or an advanced degree in marketing or business (MBA) is preferred.
- Must have at least fifteen (15) years of marketing experience with three to five years in a leadership role.
Compensation
Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $175,000 – $225,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role.
