Reporting to the Supervising Editor (SE), Priorities’ Video Editor, Social Media, will be responsible for making research-driven video content specific to our established and new social media channels for a wide variety of audiences in both English and Spanish.

What you’ll do:

    • Produce compelling post-only videos designed to reach a wide array of audiences across America, in both English and Spanish.
    • Collaborate with in-house producers and copy team to turn scripts and treatments into high-quality video content for both scripted and unscripted videos.

    • A flexible and collaborative working style. You can respond and adapt to changes and shifting priorities of a political organization and should be able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines. You’re able to collaborate with designers to layer on top of existing art direction but you’re also comfortable building an awesome spot without explicit direction in the script.
    • Exceptional attention to detail. You’re highly organized and capable of managing multiple timelines and deliverables, including clear external and internal file management.
    • People skills. You’re able to communicate edit decisions to creatives and non-creatives alike. You can communicate with diverse groups, work with a multicultural workforce, and bring a sensitivity and appreciation of cultural differences.
    • Expert command of the tools. You have an expert understanding of Premiere Pro and have experience handing your projects off to one of your teammates. You have a strong grasp of sound and color for the digital space.
    • Passion. You care a lot about the direction of our country. You understand the importance of cultural competencies when speaking to different audiences and can work with a diverse team to make something that’s both engaging and on message.
