The Division of Administration provides overall leadership and administrative support for all Divisions. The Division includes the Office of Director, Communications, Fiscal, Human Resources, IT, Legal and Legislative Affairs.

Commerce is comprised of seven operating divisions and two standalone programs that span a variety of industries including real estate, liquor, banking, securities, firefighting, construction and skilled trades, and medical marijuana. Through exceptional compliance practices and oversight, Commerce has a direct role in protecting Ohioans.

What You’ll Do:
The Ohio Department of Commerce Communications team is looking for a creative self-starter and intuitive graphic design leader to:
Develop and prepare visual communications and promotions for internal and external audiences, including graphic design and video projects
Act as a creative lead for all print and online materials; from exhibits and brochures to social media graphics
Oversee the COM Digital Asset Management program
Oversee, develop, and plan visual concept for design and creation of online communications for our internal and external audiences
Work on special project development throughout the year with Communications team
Work closely with executives on our team ideating and executing

Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
-Or 4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.
-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
Preferred qualifications:
-Experience using any or all of the following; Adobe Suite, Mac, InDesign, SharePoint
-Social media experience or knowledge of social media asset guideline and process
-Project management
-Ability to provide examples of previous visual design work
