Amazon Games is seeking a Visual Designer to join the New World team. New World is an MMORPG where players fight for survival as they conquer the mysterious island of Aeternum. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering world class visuals for video games, entertainment products, or live services.
In this role, the Visual Designer will work collaboratively with other Visual Designers, Artists, and UX Designers across the studio to craft amazing experiences for New World players.

Partner with UX and game design teams to craft menus, HUD elements, in-world graphic design elements, logos and icons, animations, and motion graphics.
Develop creative visual solutions to complex game systems and ensure balance between form and function.
Present and pitch designs to Product Owners, Designers, and Stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Have an available online portfolio
– Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban)
– 3+ years experience with visual design for video games and asset creation using game engine pipelines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns
– Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices
– Experience with motion design and video editing is a bonus
– Knowledge of branding guidelines and corporate identity, visual design, print and digital layout design, with experience in designing for both mobile and desktop applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
