The AMXL Learning and Development (AMXL L&D) Team aims to provide quality, meaningful, visual, inclusive, and engaging training content to drive better business performance for Amazon’s extra large package delivery network. For this reason, AMXL L&D team is looking for a driven, talented, and experienced senior graphic & media designer to join our team, someone who is comfortable with all elements of graphic, visual design, branding, animation and video creation. In addition to strong graphic and media design skills, the candidate must have strong strategic and systems thinking, organizational skills, experience managing small and large projects, and acute attention to detail. They must have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to present and defend their design decisions to leadership. HTML and CSS knowledge is also required in order to support the creation of web-style pages as part of the team branding and communication strategy.
Key job responsibilities
- Design templates, graphic content, illustrations, infographics, animations, video and web-style pages within Amazon intranet tools.
- Manage graphic and media designs from conception to delivery.
- Partner with Instructional Designers to build training experiences (eLearning, videos, in-app training)
- Perform quality assurance by reviewing training material and provide guidance and development support.
- Develop and strengthen brand assets including style and brand guidelines and ensure brand consistency throughout various projects.
- Work with program owners and content design teams to plan, execute and ensure deadlines are met
- Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and contribute with innovation and new ways of delivering training and coaching materials
- Support wordless training and coaching content approach through implementation of graphic content, illustrations, info-graphics, video, 360 and animated graphics.
- Produce creative assets including graphics, templates, and layouts and visual standards for training and coaching activities across multiple channels
- Support communication strategy by creating web-style pages that support project adoption and team objectives.
- Support and present your design work using insights from quantitative data and site metrics, segmentation and customer feedback
- Own continuous improvement of all products delivered.
- Online portfolio with proven experience in illustration, video, and animation
A day in the life
- Design graphics and visual design including video and animation for eLearning and in-app training
- Use Adobe creative suite
- Partner with team to drive Graphic Design, Media Design, Web Design and Development
- Test, deploy, and iterate in-app training
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban)
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suit applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns
- Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
