We are looking for a Viva Software Engineer II to come help us build enterprise scale distributed services that serve as a catalyst to Viva suite’s success. You will be responsible for owning and building org-wide new initiatives and horizontal features that span multiple modules in the Microsoft Viva Product Suite. Responsibilities:
• Design, and deliver experiences from incubations stage to maturity with customer trust and user delight
• Work with team members within and outside of the team to disambiguate complex problems
• Take ownership of component design decisions working with product owners and dependencies
• Develop and release horizontal platform features for the Viva Product Suite
• Define and build systems and strategies to ensure quality, performance, simplicity, durability, scalability, and maintainability
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience building, delivering, and maintaining distributed systems / microservices architectures (Azure or comparable cloud)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of software design and development experience in backend technologies; C, C#, C++, or Java
- Experience with the tradeoffs of using different cloud technologies in storage, caching, and compute.
- Demonstrated technical abilities around service design, coding, debugging, and problem solving
- Excellent verbal, written and cross-group collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work on cross-platform code
- Commitment to deliver the best experience for customers
Software Engineering IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 – $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 – $198,600 per year.
