Location: Springs Family YMCA Center – 27216 Ranch Rd. 12, Dripping Springs, TX 78620

Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

How You Will Make an Impact (Essential responsibilities):

  • Interpret and enforce the rules of the game according to YMCA Youth/Adults Sports philosophy.
  • Attend all Sports staff meetings as required.
  • Render first aid as needed and complete and fill out the required documentation.
  • Arrive at the game site 30 minutes prior to the game.
  • Assist facility supervisor in setting up and taking down fields/courts. Distribute information or equipment as requested by the facility supervisor.
  • Check the play area for hazards prior to the start of each game. Enforce any rules specified for the use of the facilities as needed.
  • Promote the YMCA’s character values, mission, wellness philosophy, and role in the community.
  • Lead by example the Y’s mission, vision, and values with program participants, members, staff, and guests.
  • Become an Ambassador of the Y’s work and culture by being the ultimate storyteller of who we are as an organization and brand.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to Power Your Purpose (Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Education and Experience:
    • You are a minimum age of 16 years old and have knowledge of the rules of the sport(s) to be officiated.
    • Certification as an official is a plus.
    • You have current CPR and First Aid certifications which must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Availability:
    • You can work some evenings during the week and Saturdays.
  • Skills:

    • You are organized and productive. You are organized, able to prioritize tasks, and handle multiple assignments.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, talk, and occasionally lift and/or move items, including equipment, furniture, and/or children.
