LPL Services Group (LSG) offers all the services advisors need to build their extraordinary business. As part of LSG, Coaching will provide accountability programs and coaches to help advisors accelerate growth, optimize efficiency and maximize the value of their practice.

Job Overview:

Coaching is seeking a product owner who will manage multiple aspects of the Coaching product offering including strategy, the product roadmap, technology, pricing, vendor management, advisor experience, marketing and business development. You’ll work closely with the Coaching delivery team and collaborate with many other internal LPL partners to scale Coaching, drive growth and increase advisor satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Determines customers’ needs and desires through customer interviews, market research, competitive research and insights from our sales team to support the technology needs of our small business customers.
  • Become a subject matter expert on those needs and manage a multi-faceted feedback loop that ensures ongoing, continuous improvement of existing products & services
  • Take an innovative and agile approach while collaborating with internal partners to research, propose, pilot and launch new products and services
  • Source latest technologies and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending conference; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional Communities. Maintain a social media presence and promotion in approved channels to promote coaching.
  • Define mid and longer term product development roadmap, key features/capabilities, and manage the development cycles with clear schedules, deliverables and milestones.
  • Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements
  • Work closely with partners in IT to identify, recommend and implement new technologies including requirements, functional specifications, epics & features
  • Define and continually refine key attributes of existing and potential new offerings including the overall business case, product pricing, economics and operating model
  • Articulate and/or pitch the Coaching strategy and product vision clearly to senior executives, internal partners and prospects
  • Ensure continued satisfaction of existing customers
  • Set a vision for your product portfolio and lay the foundation to execute against
  • Think and act like a business owner by taking deep ownership of your work, hitting deadlines with minimal/no oversight and constantly tracking and communicating project timelines, status, milestones and blockers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a product management, strategy, support, delivery and/or business analyst role (while preferred, formal product management experience isn’t necessarily required)
  • 3+ years of experience working with the Microsoft Office suite along
  • 2+ years of working knowledge of Tableau, CRM platforms (Salesforce or Hubspot), Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Box, sales/delivery enablement and content management platforms
  • 2+ years of experience working with internal or 3rd party technical teams to devise requirements, specs, epics and features to implement new technology
  • 2+ years of experience working with service delivery and/or technical product teams
  • 2+ years of experience working in financial services and/or some experience working with small businesses owners

Preferences:

  • MBA
  • Major bonus points if you’ve previously worked in an organization that provides outsourced services to financial advisors
  • A mastery of Excel and the ability to turn raw data into actionable insights

Location and Travel:

This position can be remote or you can work out of one of LPL’s offices in San Diego, Austin or Fort Mill, SC (near Charlotte). You should also expect some infrequent travel (3 or 4 weeks per year) for meetings at LPL’s offices or conferences.

Pay Range:
$132,080-$198,120/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
