Position Purpose
Undergraduate-level applications are preferred, but all applications will be considered. All coaches will go through an 8-week training program on the following:
Main Responsibilities:
You will be primarily responsible for growing the UCM Career and Life Design Center audience and coaches along with brand visibility through the following activities:
- Aid students in creating polished and professional application materials and have career and life design conversations during the Walk-In Studio Experience (W.I.S.E Hours).
- Promote the Career and Life Design Center by attending and working semester events.
- Create awareness of the services available via faculty and student organization presentations and promoting the Career and Life Design Center
- Manage their major/faculty breakdown and task list
- Assist with Graduate Follow-Up ( GFS ) calling in the Fall and Spring semesters.
- Help UCM students get connected, integrated, and engaged with their career readiness.
Additional Responsibilities:
You could additionally be responsible for the following activities:
- Peer support to the UNIV 3000: Career Readiness Course through preparation, integration of activities, and engagement/support for the students in the classroom.
- Peer support to the UNIV 1800: Life Design through preparation, integration of activities, and engagement/support for the students in the classroom.
- Peer support to the UNIV 1800: Design Your UCM /Design Your UCM -Transfer through preparation, integration of activities, and engagement/support for the students in the classroom.
- Co-host The Mule Mindset podcast by editing, creating content, and promoting through the Career & Life Design Center Instagram.
- Lead or assist with the spring semester THRIVE Career Readiness Workshops
- Lead the creation, editing, and posting of the C& LDC Tik Tok and Reels accounts.
Education & Formal Training
High school diploma or equivalent
Computer Skills
Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Class Management Software
Experience
