Bonus and Incentive Pay:
- Eligible for a Monthly Incentive Program dependent on performance.
- Eligible for a company-wide bonus that is dependent on the company meeting performance goals. Equivalent to 0 – 3 weeks of additional pay, prorated for the first year.
Position Purpose:
Perform various warehouse functions primarily related to irrigation inventory, including counting, pulling, cycle counts, securing orders on pallets, staging for shipment, loading and unloading trucks and containers, putting received inventory away, forklift operation, irrigation product modifications and any other warehouse duties as assigned by management.
Essential Job Functions:
- Good attendance with on time arrivals and no unapproved absences
- Pull customer’s orders and stage for verification and shipment
- Pull parts ordered for large irrigation projects and stage for verification
- Modify irrigation sprinkler heads and swing joints through a process known as “Change-Outs”
- Conduct weekly cycle counts on sprinkler heads, valves, control stations and wire
- Put away incoming merchandise
- Perform irrigation bin maintenance, and FIFO stock rotation
- Execute A, B, & C cycle counts on a prearranged monthly schedule which requires a complete count of A & B items twelve times per year and C items six times per year
- Maintain a logical method of assigning or reassigning bin locations of A & B parts that will allow a smooth and logical path when picking
- Operate forklift for any movement of merchandises requiring the use of a forklift (Only if pre-certified to operate a forklift by Warehouse Manager)
- Return irrigation RGA customer parts to proper location
- General household cleaning and maintaining appearance of parts and warehouse stock areas
- Support back up for UPS Shipping Station
- Perform any other task or function as directed by management
Requirements
Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred and previous related experience
- Ability to operate a forklift and possess OSHA forklift certification
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull heavy items
- Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions both orally and in writing
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to read and speak English fluently
Physical Requirement and Work Environment:
- Work tasks require the ability to exert heavy physical effort in routine heavy work, including routinely balancing, lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling moderately heavy objects weighing 20 to 70 pounds and occasionally heavier objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Tasks are regularly performed in a warehouse with potential exposure to temperature conditions, extreme heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
- Tasks are also regularly performed with the potential exposure to other conditions, such as moderate odors, fumes, dust and dirt, wetness, humidity, machinery and noise.
- The warehouse, at times, can have insects, birds, rodents, cats, etc. due to the overhead doors remaining open during work hours.
Salary Description
$17 – 19 / hour
