Primary Responsibilities
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient management of all warehouse functions including: budget, warehouse conditions, food safety requirements, equipment maintenance, and training of warehouse staff. The Warehouse Operations Manager proactively manages labor to ensure accurate inventory, selection and loading of product in the most efficient cost effective manner. This person will develop staff and provide leadership, as well as serve as an operational resource expert.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for warehouse payroll to budget.
- Responsible for the integrity of inventory.
- Develop future budgets based on customer forecast as well as develop and substantiate capital request to continue and/or improve operations.
- Proactive communication to internal contacts regarding warehouse processes which impact customers and transportation.
- Establish and implement operational policies and procedures as it relates to the warehouse.
- Monitors warehouse expenses and recommends more efficient methods to reduce the overall cost of operations.
- Responsible for maintaining high standards related to the physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
- Implements new processes to increase efficiency, while reducing costs.
- Responsible for the development and training Operation Managers.
- Ensures warehouse is in compliance with all state and federal laws. (i.e. OSHA)
- Plans when necessary for daily and weekly production activities.
- Ensure all food safety compliance.
- Ensure all company sponsored safety programs are administered correctly according to best practice.
- Recruit key warehouse staff according to business needs.
- Proactively improve labor relations.
- Other duties and special projects as requested.
- Must maintain good attendance.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
- High School Diploma Required.
- Minimum of five (5) years previous warehouse/logistics management experience required.
- Proficiency with MS Office and RF (Radio Frequency) systems required.
Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Excellent grammar, verbal and writing skills.
- Strong management skills to develop and set performance standards for driver and support staff.
- Strong organization and time management skills.

The associate is required to sit. The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and climb. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is also exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise levels in the work environment are typically low to moderate.
