    Primary Responsibilities

    The Outbound Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the selection, replenishment and/or loading of product in the most cost-effective manner. This person must have a strong KPI background and be customer service driven and will be responsible to manage a group of 20 – 30 associates in any one of our three departments (dry, each-pick, perishables).     Essential Functions

    • Oversee outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and condition of shipments in a two-building operation.
    • Proactive communication to internal contacts regarding warehouse processes which impact customers and transportation.
    • Inspects shift operations to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and specifications.
    • Ensures that the daily inspection requirements of material handling equipment are adhered to.
    • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
    • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
    • Must maintain good attendance
    • Proven ability and willingness to take a hands-on approach as necessary, to insure safe operations of all in-house powered MHE.
    • Ensure warehouse associate training is occurring timely.
    • Troubleshoot systems issues, which affect timely delivery and/or receiving of product.
    • Plan daily and weekly production activities when necessary
    • Maintains distribution center’s HACCPs at acceptable levels and ensures food safety.
    • Ensure Safety and OSHA rules are followed.
    • Maintain inventory integrity by employing “world-class” warehousing and inventory control practices.
    • Must maintain and promote sanitation and facility maintenance.
    • Maintain safeguards of confidential company information.

    Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years previous warehouse / logistics management experience required.
    • Proficiency with MS Office and RF (Radio Frequency) systems required.

    Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers and management.
    • Ability to follow safe working practices, as instructed.
    • Ability to efficiently work independently of direct supervision.

The associate is required to sit. The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and climb. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is also exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise levels in the work environment are typically low to moderate.
