Warehouse Safety Associate
Job Overview:
The Warehouse Safety Associate 1 will be responsible for conducting inspections and auditing equipment and condition of the facility. The Warehouse Safety Associate will support in developing safety training materials and updating bulletin boards to promote awareness and safety practices. Provides information for ongoing reporting requirements. And support in incident response, including risk assessments and collaborative corrective action.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards, non-compliance issues, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in preparing and submitting reports to department manager as needed
- Conduct training sessions on topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, personal protective equipment, and workplace ergonomics.
- Support in developing educational materials, safety bulletins, and newsletters to promote awareness and best practices related to EHS.
- Support incident response activities, including assisting with initial response, documenting incidents, and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
- Collaborate in conducting incident investigations to determine root causes, contributing factors, and recommendations for prevention.
- Aid in conducting risk assessments and hazard identification activities to evaluate potential EHS risks in the workplace.
- Facilitation in the maintenance of EHS management systems, databases and incident records.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
– Good understanding of EHS best practices.
– Strong attention to detail
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels.
– Proficient in data management and reporting
– Must be BILINGUAL (English/Spanish)
– Familiarity with EHS training programs
Required Schedule:
Sunday 9am-1pm; Monday-Thursday 1pm-10pm
