In this role you will define product strategy, requirements, and influence the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of products that scale to meet AWS’s water sustainability goals. You will work backwards to define roadmaps, and drive execution across stakeholders. This role will support AWS’s commitment to be water positive by 2030 by owing development of mechanisms and technology solutions that deliver automation, data management, and analytics to help achieve these goals. The candidate will be comfortable managing competing priorities and be able to bring clarity and order to ambiguous scenarios. A successful candidate will have a professional demeanor and be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people at every level, both internally and externally.
Key job responsibilities
• Own program management throughout the entire lifecycle of technology solutions (intake, design, development, testing, implementation, deployment, and post-implementation phases).
• Develop and maintain a roadmap of scheduled products, defining new features to meet emerging customers’ needs.
• Facilitate collaboration between engineering teams, non-technical partners, and stakeholders on global team’s technology requirements, goals, and milestones.
• Drive process improvement to streamline execution of technology solutions to completion.
• Collaborate with global customers and stakeholders ensuring efforts are aligned with a cohesive, scalable future vision and strategy.
• Own and deliver water sustainability data for annual ESG reporting, and the automation work to scale these activities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Energy/Water Resources/Engineering/Computer Science or similar field
- 5+ years experience in technical program management, project management, product management role for water or utilities industry
- 3+ years experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters or MBA in related field
- Proven experience leading initiatives related to water or sustainability projects, infrastructure development, or data center planning
- Proven experience diving deep into data, existing processes, people, and systems in order to simplify complex processes
- Experience with business intelligence platforms, or building data analytics tools.
- Proven track record partnering with business owners to understand requirements, developing analysis to solve their business problems, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver results
- Proven ability to interface successfully with senior leadership, suppliers, and customers
- Excellent speaking-listening-writing skills and attention to details
- Be a passionate self-starter
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
