Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Water Treatment Technical Expert to join our Resilience Water team in East Windsor or Fair Lawn, NJ.
The role sits within our Resilience Global Business Area. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Role accountabilities:
In this role, you will lead and direct the development of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects in New Jersey and nationally. You will also work with other nationally recognized technical staff and utilize their expertise and technical knowledge of water, wastewater, and stormwater design & construction on projects/programs of approximately $1M, to $20M+. This is a client-facing role with an expectation to collaborate with various Arcadis locations and support projects and client development activities regionally and nationally. Additional responsibilities include:
- Provide technical expertise as QA/QC reviewer or technical advisor to ensure compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, codes, statutes, rules, and regulations, as well as Arcadis’ quality and safety practices.
- Supervise and support the work of others while mentoring junior and mid-level engineers and technical staff and ensuring the development of Arcadis’ capability in the discipline(s).
- Manage technical coordination and leadership roles on larger or complex projects or projects with higher associated risk.
- Work closely with Arcadis Certified Project Managers, overseeing and/or leading the technical delivery of very large projects, complex projects, or specialized projects ensuring client satisfaction, and good communication and collaboration between Arcadis colleagues.
- Support marketing and proposal phases of projects including preparation of and participation in winning proposals and interviews, as well as developing scopes of work and budgets.
- Actively engage with New Jersey and region client account teams, supporting the expansion of business development opportunities and client relationships to strategically grow Arcadis’ New Jersey portfolio, leveraging existing and new client relationships.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field of study.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey or the ability to obtain a license by reciprocity in other states, as needed
- 15 years of water treatment experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field of study.
- Active participation in regional and/or national professional association(s).
- Previous experience in a regional role and collaboration across regional teams.

We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $133,400 – $264,063.
