Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico!
The Water Wastewater Engineer will leverage their experience in water and wastewater treatment facility engineering, water distribution systems, wastewater stormwater collection systems and pump stations including planning, investigations, studies, analysis, designs, and construction administration services and ensuring compliance with codes, statutes, rules, and regulations, as well as Arcadis quality and safety practices.
Role accountabilities:
In this role, you will communicate with clients, establish goals and objectives for project teams, and schedule and coordinate resources to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the performance expectations of the client.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Provide technical expertise on multi-disciplined projects as a design leader, QA/QC reviewer or technical advisor.
- Supervise and support the work of others while mentoring junior-level engineers and technical staff.
- Work directly with clients to determine needs and deliver solutions and lead the growth of client relationships with target clients.
- Lead teams through the marketing and proposal phases of projects including preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations, as well as developing scopes of work and budgets for various water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
- Participate in professional associations, activities, and conferences.
- Some travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes or to oversee construction activities, depending on project staffing needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in water, wastewater, and/or stormwater.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field of study.
- EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) License in Puerto Rico.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field of study.
- Experience supporting small to large-size, multi-disciplined, water, wastewater, or stormwater projects in the public or private sector.

The salary range for this position is $63,720 – $95,580.
