Description
Fisher Associates, P.E., L.S., L.A., D.P.C., headquartered in Rochester NY, with eight offices throughout NY, PA & TX, is searching for a Waterline Inspector for a project in Buffalo, NY.
- Inspects construction of water and sanitary sewer utilities including underground pipe construction and rehabilitation for compliance with plans, specifications and local ordinances.
- Reviews construction materials for quality and conformance to contract documents.
- Maintains authority to reject materials and workmanship.
- Observes compaction testing of backfilled soils and site restoration.
- Coordinates elements including service shut-downs as necessary for the execution of the work
- May verify slope and alignment of utility lines and associated elements.
- Attends meetings with local, state, and federal agencies.
- Prepares daily reports on construction progress.
- Coordinates with office staff on design questions and progress.
Requirements
- Construction or civil engineering-related experience and/or NICET II certification
- Water/wastewater-specific inspection or construction experience
