The University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks a Web Content Coordinator. This c lassification is involved with developing and providing content that will motivate and entertain users so that they regularly access the web site and utilize it as a major source for information and decision making. Provides technical support and completes web site editorial activities which includes gathering and researching information that enhances the value of the site. Locates, negotiates, and pursues content. Seeks out customers to gather feedback for web site improvement and enhancements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and publishing of all content on our website and social media platforms.
- Develop and provide current and dynamic social media and digital content that will motivate and entertain internal and external constituents so that they regularly access the website and social media platforms as a major source for information and decision-making.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range: $35,570.00 – $43,500.00
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Communications, English, Graphic Design, Journalism or a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines. Proven work experience in social and digital media (Buffer, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, Instagram, website, blogs email blasts), visual communication principles, and proficiency in Acquia, Drupal, or JOOMLA is also preferred.
