Founded by philanthropists Gary and Mary West, West Health, and its affiliated organizations focus on the mission of lowering the cost of healthcare to enable seniors to successfully age in place with access to high-quality, affordable health and support services that preserve and protect their dignity, quality of life and independence.
Headquartered in La Jolla, California with an office in Washington, D.C., West Health includes the Gary and Mary West Health Institute, a nonprofit medical research organization and the nonprofit, nonpartisan Gary, and Mary West Health Policy Center.
Position Summary
West Health is a family of nonprofit and nonpartisan organizations disrupting the healthcare ecosystem to ensure all Americans can age with independence, dignity, and access to affordable, high-quality healthcare.
We’re seeking a dynamic web producer to ensure all West Health publications and content resources are easily accessible and optimized for our website. With a flair for detail, storytelling, and aesthetics, the producer will take ownership of a high-priority web-based initiative at West Health and be the point person for website updates, among other responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new processes to ensure all publications (including reports, presentations, journal articles, press releases, videos, infographics, and more) are written, formatted, and indexed for optimal searchability, communication and user experience.
- Build strong relationships across West Health working groups.
- Communicate new processes for content contributions, reviews, and updates within the architecture of our website and intranet.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to identify new ways to streamline processes and highlight valuable resources and publications that can shape aging and healthcare policy, inform new models of care, and more.
- Coordinate with other communications team members and our web design/development agency as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree, with 2-5 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), SEO tools and web analytics platforms, with emphasis on WordPress and SharePoint.
- Solid understanding of user experience (UX) principles and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and effectively manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Analytical mindset that can interpret and translate data into insights that drive content decisions.
- Strong interest in healthcare and aging and working in a nonprofit environment.
- Creative thinker with a strong sense of visual aesthetics and branding.
- Ability to monitor and analyze website performance metrics, such as traffic, engagement.
- Problem-solver with a positive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated success in creating and delivering effective presentations to high-level stakeholders.
- Track record of building strong relationships with peers and external partners to enable higher performance. Collaborative teamwork and leadership track record.
- Must be up to date with COVID-19 Vaccinations.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated compensation range for this position is $75,000 – $95,000.
