Description
Do Great Things! Durham Technical Community College is hiring a Website Manager in
the Marketing and Communications Department. The Website Manager leads the strategic development and design of an accessible, innovative, mobile-responsive, and user-friendly website supporting the College’s brand strategy, business, communications, and marketing goals.
Examples of Duties

  1. Working in a team setting to plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade the Durham Tech website and optimize its use in communicating, promoting, and marketing the College’s educational offerings, services, and activities as well as making pertinent information easily accessible to the public;
  2. Evaluating usability issues, structuring the site’s navigation, and developing and implementing solutions and strategies for improving accessibility and functionality of the College’s website;
  3. Working with Marketing and Communications staff in developing and using graphics, editing content for web use to complement and supplement the College’s ongoing marketing initiatives, and updating/maintaining the website content;
  4. Working with Information Technology Services staff and contract vendors to ensure the website is secure, functional, meets best practices, and is in compliance with ADA accessibility standards; and
  5. Managing purchase orders for the Marking and Communications department.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Web Design, Web Development, Communications, Journalism or a related degree.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Google Analytics, content management systems. Knowledge of content management systems and experience working with websites.

  6. Experience working with a CMS.
  7. Preferred knowledge of HTML.
  8. Knowledge of Google Analytics.
  9. Preferred knowledge of ADA website accessibility standards and best practices.
  10. Excellent computer skills.
  11. Preferred experience with Element 451.
  12. Knowledge of social media a plus.
  13. Personal integrity, honesty, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  14. Ability to contribute to the success of the College’s mission, goals, and objectives by demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and superior customer service.
