Essential Duties:
The Western Regional Development Manager is responsible for training and developing the Respiratory Account Executive and new territories in the SuperCare territories.
Sales & Marketing Management:
- Ensure that sales staff make effective sales calls, build relationships with existing customers and constantly seek out new prospects.
- Set individual goals for growth based on company objectives and communicate effectively with staff. Create objective and measurable criteria that will be used to gauge the results of individual staff’s actions.
- Monitor effectiveness and compliance of sales staff with up-to-date reporting from salespeople regarding sales calls, prospecting, and revenue and competitor files. Maintain documented improvement plans and staff success.
- Participate in regular sales and one-on-one meetings with RSM staff and frequent co-travel to work closely with sales RSM.
- Work hand in hand with the RSM in developing and implementing an overall sales strategy based on effective research of the community and referral sources.
- Focus efforts on:
- Onboarding and training of new REA
- Training of new Products
- Continued development for existing RAE
- Managed and developed territories for potential growth.
- Conducting skills gap analyses to identify areas of improvement
- Designing training curricula within time and budget constraints
- Assist HR in producing physical and digital educational material
Other Responsibilities & Duties:
- As a mentor, note strengths and weaknesses of team and staff, building upon strengths and dealing directly with deficiencies. Develop inexperienced team members and staff with a set process and guidelines.
- Participate in regularly scheduled and specially scheduled meetings to allow for communication and sharing of information to give staff an understanding of the company’s efforts, goals and needs
- Ensure that staff personnel and their skills meet the needs of the customers; and that when staff does not have the competency to perform prescribed services in an appropriate and responsible manner, appropriate training occurs.
- Collaborate with RSM to select and implement the training necessary to develop knowledge and to provide in depth or cross training in subjects and processes relevant to departments.
- Understand and practice the rules regarding patient confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and safety. Adhere to all state and federally mandated standards regarding confidentiality and patient rights.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle difficult situations tactfully and an ability to resolve conflict situations in the field.
- Conduct oneself in a professional and ethical manner at all times, including personal appearance and promote a positive company image with customers and the public by ensuring that the quality of products and service is of the highest possible level appropriate to the situation.
- Review and evaluate all sales and sales employees with the RSM.
- Performs any other duties requested by RSM Marketing.
- Potentially be on the road driving sales anywhere from 2-4 days per week.
- Understand and adheres to all of SuperCare Health company policies.
- Perform all other duties as assigned and required
- Must meet minimum of monthly goals
Education and Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited college with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable experience in the industry.
- Strong body of knowledge in the skills of management and leadership.
- Excellent knowledge of the equipment we sell, its care and maintenance, and the types of customers to whom we sell and their needs.
- Make best use of work time to complete projects and assignments on schedule.
- Be able to work on multiple tasks and plan and prioritize activities to achieve results and meet deadlines.
- Be a self-starter and manifest a proactive approach to all aspects of rResponsibility.
- Make good decisions quickly, considering options, gathering opinions and options, but in the end DECIDE and follow through, communicating well to others the decision.
- Possess the ability to come up with creative alternatives and solutions to pressing problems. Not being limited to what’s been tried before; be able to evaluate and implement new ideas to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Consistently demonstrate ability to establish and manage priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills with the ability to work in a very fast paced environment
