A growing law firm that specializes in employment law is seeking a Workers Compensation Defense Attorney to join their team. This position is fully remote with occasional court appearances and client meetings in the Van Nuys, Downtown and Marina areas of Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate for this position has at least 3 years of experience in workers compensation defense, is barred in California and has prior success working fully remote.
Pay Range: $95,000 – $150,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Manage a case load of 60-85 cases from A to Z
- Provide direct client interaction
- Attend court appearances as needed in Van Nuys, Downtown LA, or Marina
- Attend video meetings as required
- Work independently while maintaining communication with the team
- Maintain and update case files
- Perform legal research
- Conduct discovery
- Attend depositions
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of workers compensation defense experience
- Must be licensed to practice law in California
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fully remote environment
- Must be based in Van Nuys, Downtown LA, or Marina areas
- Thorough and detail-oriented
