Job Responsibilities
Workforce is a hot topic in South Carolina, and the S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce is growing and expanding its support of the state’s efforts to develop the pipeline of workers and assist employers.
This incumbent will work in the agency’s Communications Department as the liaison for the Employment Services Division, Workforce Development Division, and the Office of State Workforce Development. This position will track requests and initiatives to develop, prepare, edit, coordinate, and disseminate informational material. By working directly with agency stakeholders, this position will be responsible for professionally managing projects and representing the Communications Department.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor’s degree and relevant training experience; or any equivalent combination of education, relevant training and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.
Preferred Qualifications
The individual should possess strong professional communication and storytelling skills (written and verbal), excellent computer literacy, strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and deadlines and the ability and flexibility to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment.
