Space Protection Programs (SPP) is seeking a Lead System Integration engineer with a proven technical background in Systems, Avionics, GN&C, and Software who wants to further their systems engineering abilities; applying a system’s thinking mindset to realize customer needs in the delivery of an end-to-end solution. Our System Integration Lead will partner with Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts to assemble a singular thread for system integration, test, and delivery, ensuring that all aspects of system integration, from customer use-cases to test requirements, are aligned across stakeholders and incorporated into the long-term plan. You will coordinate and oversee the execution of multi-domain integration plans for flight, ground, and payload applications, including associated tools and databases. You will support development teams by integrating increasingly complex mission capabilities over the course of the development lifecycle, culminating your effort with full end-to-end test-like-you-fly space vehicle demonstration and delivery.

Candidate must have the ability to plan and take ownership of integration projects that are key to the successful execution of programs. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze and resolve complex mission problems quickly and independently as part of a small highly skilled team in a dynamic environment. Work will be performed in a highly collaborative environment with frequent and direct interaction with various engineering disciplines.

In this role you will…
• Lead an integration team following proper systems engineering concepts and processes
• Support SEIT & Segment RSEs in development of HW/SW ICD and requirement flow-down to subsystem specs
• Be responsible for oversight of development and integration of logical interfaces between HW & SW components, and validate Parameter and Command/Telemetry databases
• Escalate and track impediments, help manage risks and dependencies, and develop mitigation plans to maintain schedule and program requirements.
• Look across the entire system to identify potential impacts of a change
• Apply creative problem solving and creative thinking to accomplish what seems impossible
• Perform hardware and software system integration of complex projects within Space Protection Programs (SPP), coordinating with multiple system domains to measure performance and demonstrate ConOps

• Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships across development teams
• Active Top Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph
• Demonstrated understanding and application of Systems Engineering and a Systems Thinking mindset
