Job Description
Assists Registered Nurse Case Managers with Workers’ Compensation case/incident management activities. Coordinates data and documentation gathering and follows up with employees, managed care carriers, insurance, and third party administrator representatives. Compiles and analyzes information and prepares statistical data for reporting purposes.
Job Responsibility
- Initiates Injured Worker Intake interview and documents contact with employee reporting a work-related incident, to promote early intervention; adheres to triage of cases for timely Nurse Case Manager (NCM) assignment when indicated.
- Assists Registered Nurse Case Managers with case/incident management activities; requests emergency room reports and other medical information ensuring medical record accuracy and completeness.
- Facilitates medical care with hospital worker’s compensation physician and employee health service; coordinates incident management activities with insurance, managed care carriers, adjusters, and third party administrators, etc.
- Contacts medical provider for cases involving lost time from work; communicates with representatives to provide and/or gather pertinent case/program materials.
- Obtains initial and subsequent Return to Work Assessment form from treating medical provider; assists representatives with investigations and retrieval of employee medical records, as needed.
- Coordinates follow up and information review with employees; contacts employees for updated medical information and return to work status.
- Contacts employees for updated medical information and return to work status; reviews medical information and treatment plan.
- Reviews transitional return to work packet; receives and reviews Multiple Exposure reports; logs and reports information to insurance, managed care carriers, third party administrators, etc., as needed.
- Compiles and analyzes information and prepares statistical data for reporting purposes; performs administrative duties in support of department, as needed.

Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $41,780-$64,340/year
