Job Summary

The Workplace Culture Manager reports to the Diversity & Inclusion Mgr PSEG LI. The primary responsibility of the Workplace Culture Manager is to support the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance workplace culture and advance a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion where employees feel recognized and diverse talent thrives.

Key responsibilities include: gathering quantitative and qualitative data and insights to develop and implement workplace culture initiatives and programming that increase employee engagement on a day-to-day basis; partnering with business leaders and site leaders to understand their workplace culture and address any identified needs; working with business partners and the community to design and execute programs that optimize the employee experience; and supporting DEI programs and initiatives at PSEG Long Island (e.g., EBRGs, Local Inclusion Teams).

Job Responsibilities

  • Engage with the workforce at all levels to gain quantitative and qualitative data and insights to be used to develop and implement workplace culture initiatives and programming that increases employee engagement on a day-to-day basis. Proactively work with departments and sites to understand the culture, identify needs or gaps, and develop and implement strategies to address.
  • Lead the survey action planning team and efforts resulting from the organization’s Employee Experience Survey. Conduct benchmarking analyses to make recommendations on workplace culture initiatives and other areas of responsibility.
  • Support the EBRG Leadership Council, the Long Island EBRG program, and the Long Island Local Inclusion Teams to ensure that EBRG members, leaders and Executive Sponsors are implementing initiatives that align with PSEG Long Island’s strategic goals and scorecard metrics.
  • Partner with the PSEG LI DEI Manager in collaboration with the Community Partnership Program (CPP) to support PSEG Long Island’s commitment to serve and support the communities in which we do business.
  • Support diversity sourcing efforts and develop initiatives and strategies to meet identified gaps in workplace representation.
  • Develop meaningful recognition programs that will resonate with the workforce.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience, or without a Bachelor’s degree, certification plus 6 years’ experience, 8 years’ experience with no degree or certification. Certification from an accredited program in DEI, Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness or Transformation, Workplace Culture or a related field. Relevant experience with culture change or DEI work within a large corporate environment
  • Experience engaging with a workforce to obtain quantitative and qualitative data and insights.
  • Experience using data to develop and inform company-wide and site-specific culture initiatives along with the ability to scope, develop and manage projects and implement resulting recommendations.
  • Innovative, strategic thinking and planning skills with the ability to create and communicate a vision for the future and translate it into clear strategies and specific priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including excellent presentation, facilitation and listening skills.
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively across business units, functional departments, and disciplines, and experience leading teams to achieve a desired outcome.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment with the ability and credibility to work through all levels of the company as a trusted partner and change agent.
  • Ability to conduct benchmarking research, analyze results and make. proposals/recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative factors/data
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
