Job Description:

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Workshop and Exercise Facilitator you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a facilitator joining our team to support webinars and workshops (virtual and on-site) to provide technical training to water utility personnel and water sector partners and stakeholder organizations.

REsponsibilities

  • Delivers on-site and/or virtual workshops, technical assistance exercises and discussion groups.
  • Facilitates discussion sessions during on-site and virtual training workshops.
  • Effectively manage stakeholders and guide technical conversations.
  • Prepares feedback forms and analyzes participant data to evaluate the effectiveness of trainings, webinars, and workshops.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant training and technology.
  • May coach and review the work of less experienced team members.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS, 8+ years of experience

REQUIREMENTS

  • Required Technical Skills: Prior training and facilitation experience, science and technical background strongly preferred.
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication skills, able to distill complex information in a clear and simple manner, attention to detail, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills are key. An ideal candidate will possess natural leadership ability, facilitation and public speaking skills and is comfortable with managing a room. An engaging personality, willingness and desire to travel is required. This role may also include guiding future trainees through various software applications, applying knowledge to context.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience with water utilities, water sector stakeholders highly desired; ability to train on technical subject matter and prior experience with technical writing is preferred.
  • Location: Remote
  • Travel: 30% travel required

The likely salary range for this position is $68,000 – $102,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
