General Purpose
The program director will work in cooperation with the Athletic Program Manager in carrying out all aspects of the flag football program.
*PT Nights & Weekends 8-10 hours/week.*
Essential Job Functions
- Follow all departmental and rules and regulations.
- Plan, coordinate and create practice and game schedules.
- Assist with making teams and assigning coaches to teams.
- Provide support to volunteer coaches and teams as needed.
- Maintain regular communication with coaches during the season.
- Assign officials for league games and assist with officiating as needed.
- Conduct sports-specific youth clinics and camps.
- Responsible for issuing and tracking inventory of equipment.
- Attend league safety meetings and trainings as required.
- Report all accidents occurring within jurisdiction to supervisor.
- Report any problems with fields/courts, equipment, player behavior, parent behavior, or officials to Athletic Program Manager.
- Organize transportation for program participants in 15 passenger mini bus, if needed.
- Communicate with Athletic Program Manager on all matters of policy.
- Communicate with coaches, parents, officials and players in a professional manner.
- Be accessible by phone and/or email.
- Administer proper First Aid as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with children in a group or individualized situation.
- Previous coaching experience preferred.
- Must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
- Must have knowledge of or learn NFL flag football rules and regulations.
- Follow all departmental and rules and regulations.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- A cooperative attitude and a team player.
- Outgoing, friendly, enthusiastic, patient and a desire to work with children.
- Prior First-Aid / CPR / Required
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Van Safety/Operations Training required.
